Scholarship Value/Inclusions: Each scholarship will have a total value of £5,000 which will be deducted from the tuition fee for the entire part-time programme of study.

Eligibility: The scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission onto the above eligible distance learning Master’s Programmes at the University of Edinburgh. Applicants must be both nationals of and resident of the eligible countries (see above).

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.

Scholarship Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours Degree at Undergraduate Level or the international equivalent.

Rev Dr Norma P Robertson Scholarship for Postgraduate Students in UK, 2014

University of EdinburghDescription: One or more scholarships will be offered annually to students undertaking programme of study at Postgraduate Level (PhD, MPhil, MTh, MSc) in Christian History, Bible and Theology.

Eligibility: The Scholarship will be awarded to student(s) accepted onto Full-time or Part-Time Postgraduate Programmes in Christian History, Bible and Theology related subjects, taught in The School of Divinity, who have an excellent academic record. In addition the selection panel will also take into account the financial circumstances of applicants to ensure that as far as possible a student’s financial situation does not impede an education at the University of Edinburgh. There are no geographical restrictions for students receiving the award.

Carnegie Cameron Taught Postgraduate Bursaries

University of EdinburghFourteen awards are offered to University of Edinburgh students undertaking either a one year, full-time or two year, part-time Taught Postgraduate Degree in any subject offered by the University of Edinburgh commencing in the 2014-2015 academic session.

The value of each award will be up to £4,000 which will be deducted from the tuition fees of successful applicants.

Eligibility: The bursaries will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission on either a one year full-time or two year part-time basis for a taught postgraduate programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.

Postgraduate diploma or certificate courses are not eligible.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are Scottish either by birth or descent (at least one parent born in Scotland) or that they have been continuously resident in Scotland for a period of at least three years for the purpose of secondary or tertiary education in Scotland.

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so. Application forms for Postgraduate Admission are available on the University’s web site.

Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Scholarships in UK

University of EdinburghThe 2014 Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Scholarships in the UK are now open to international students who are nationals of countries outside the EU for Undergraduate Study in any subject offered by the University of Edinburgh.

A minimum of 15 scholarships are available for the 2014-2015 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study.

Eligibility:

  • The scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.
  • They are awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.
  • Students already on a programme are not eligible.
  • Applicants must also be nationals of a country outwith the EU.

How to Apply:

  • Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.
  • Please note that you will not be able to access the online application form unless you have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh and have full EASE authentication
  • A University of Edinburgh Selection Committee will meet in May 2014 to select the Scholarship holders.
