Scholarship Description: In line with its core values, and as part of its corporate social responsibility, Total Exploration and Production (E&P) Nigeria Limited (TEPNG), operator of the NNPC/TEPNG Joint Venture, is committed to supporting Nigerian students and host communities where it operates, so as to boost the manpower base of communities and prepare the Nigerian youth to take up challenging job opportunities within and outside the oil and gas industry.
Each year, TEPNG demonstrates a high level of commitment towards the educational development of Nigerian Students through its annual award of Scholarships to deserving Nigerian students in secondary and tertiary institutions as well as those in postgraduate studies. The programme is aimed at promoting academic excellence and qualitative manpower development in Nigeria.
Total E&P Nigeria Limited hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for its 2012/2013 National Merit Scholarship Awards (aka Nigeria Tertiary Institutions Scholarships) for undergraduate students currently in their 1st and 2nd year of studies in recognized Nigerian Universities.
Eligibility: The NNPC/TEPNG National Merit Scholarship Award is open to duly admitted, recognized full time Nigerian students, pursuing Undergraduate Programmes in recognized universities, who are in their first or second year of studies and who are NOT beneficiaries of any other scholarships.
In addition to the above conditions, applicants must show:
- Proof of SSCE or equivalent certificate,
- Proof of UME scores and
- Admission to the course of study
Eligible groups: Students of Nigerian origin
Participating Institutions: All recognized Nigerian Universities / Tertiary Institutions
Field of study: Students of the under-listed courses may apply:
- Agricultural Sciences
- Business Administration
- Banking and Finance
- Computer Sciences
- Environmental Sciences
- Pure and Applied Sciences
- Land and Quantity Surveying
- Medical Sciences
